Prestigio, one of the companies that confirmed earlier this year that it would launch Windows Phone devices, appears to have been working on a new smartphone that has yet to be officially introduced.

The unannounced Prestigio MultiPhone has leaked online via Russian blog site High-tech.mail.ru, along with its specs sheet, and judging by the list of features, this is likely to be a mid-range Windows Phone smartphone.

Mostly known for its tablets and eReaders, Prestigio also has a core line of MultiPhones, which contains some mid-range handsets that aren’t that popular among phone users.

However, it appears that the company is set to change that by launching its first Windows Phone handset in Europe. The MultiPhone that has just leaked online will probably be launched in Russia first, followed by some European countries. Aside from that, it's unclear whether or not it will be available in other regions.

The smartphone is codenamed MultiPhone PAP5507 DUO and, as the name suggests, it will offer dual-SIM support. This automatically means that it will come with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box.

Windows Phone 8.1 is the only version of Microsoft’s operating system that supports dual-SIM capability, so we can safely assume that the MultiPhone PAP5507 DUO will be powered by this mobile platform.

As mentioned earlier, MultiPhone PAP5507 DUO is a mid-range handset, which is supposed to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded via microSD card slot (up to 32GB).

The smartphone is also said to sport a large 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

On the back, as seen in the press render leaked, the MultiPhone PAP5507 DUO boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash, autofocus and video recording.

There’s also a secondary 2-megapixel camera in the front for video calls. Other highlights of the rumored smartphone include: 3G with HSPA+ connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS with A-GPS support.

According to the cited source, the MultiPhone PAP5507 DUO is expected to go on sale in Russia and some European countries that have not been named yet, sometime in July.

There’s no word on pricing options, but we reckon it’s way too early to even guess an amount. We will keep an eye out for any additional details on this one and update the news as soon as information is available, so stay tuned for more.
