Unlike Dell, which is yet to unveil its highly anticipated netbook, dubbed Inpsiron 910, LG Electronics has finally entered the sub-notebook market with the introduction of its 3G-capable X110 netbook. The new release has been showcased at this year's IFA consumer electronics show, which is currently taking place in Berlin, and is scheduled to end on September 3.

Rumors about the recently announced netbook have been making the rounds for quite some time and, now that the South Korea-based company has finally unveiled the product, it certainly looks like all these rumors were as accurate as they could get. Slated to become yet another competitor for ASUS' vast lineup of Eee PC systems, the X110 is basically built on the same platform as most of the other netbooks currently available on the market. Fortunately, LG has developed the X110 with an embedded 3G HSPA connectivity, a feature which isn't supported by the other small-sized sub-notebook systems now on sale.

The company, which is among the leading manufacturers of mobile phones, has decided to play the 3G card with its first ever sub-notebook system. According to previous rumors, the X110 will be offered across the world in various bundles that also include some of the company's mobile phones. Besides the 3G feature and a stylish design, the X110 will basically provide its users with roughly the same technical sheet as most of its competitors. This, in turn, could mean that the company will probably have a tough time turning the product into a smashing hit.

As expected, after the official release, the company has also made public a number of press photos of the X110 netbook. As you can see for yourself in the pictures below, the product is going to be made available in various color versions. Some of the netbook's specifications include an 80GB hard disk, wireless 802.11 b/g connectivity, all of which will be available starting September 30, with a price tag that could range from 399 to 499 Euros.
