Countless celebrities have been given the chance to read out loud on camera some of the mean things people say about them on Twitter, and to react to them, thanks to Jimmy Kimmel’s famous Celebrities Read Mean Tweets segment.

For the latest, Kimmel upped up his game considerably, having the President of the United States, Barack Obama, read mean tweets. Or, as he put it, he extended to Obama this offer and he “happily agreed.”

You can see the special Obama edition of Mean Tweets in the first video embedded below. You wouldn’t be completely wrong if you suspected, at the end of the video, that Kimmel didn’t pick the meanest tweets because he was trying to protect the President’s feelings from getting hurt.

Compared to what some celebrities got, Obama’s tweets were tame; funny, but tame nonetheless.

The second video is a bonus of sorts, showing Obama’s hilarious response to a recent Kanye West comment about how they speak on the phone all the time because he (Obama) has his home phone number that he calls whenever he wants.

Kanye made this comment during his recent lecture at Oxford University, boasting about his high connections. I love it how Obama is visibly struggling to come up with the words to deny the story without flat-out calling Kanye a liar.
