Get ready for another session of brain training!

I was starting to get worried that we'll stop receiving brain training games as it has been a while since such a title was announced. However, Got Game Entertainment decided to save the day and announced MindHabits, another of those brain trainers which promise to keep yours fit with just five minutes of practice per day.

The game, which will hit PC systems in North America this August, is said to be based on more than a decade of research by Dr. Mark Baldwin of McGill University in Montreal. And this doc has found a few tricks to help you boost self-confidence, reduce stress and exam anxiety (if applicable, of course), improve your work performance (so your boss will always be happy) and even your golf skills. Wait! What? You'll play golf better if you use MindHabits for five minutes per day? Tiger Woods, beware!

Also, with or without improving your golf techniques, there was an online version of the game presented at the Games for Health Conference and it seems that you can still find it hidden in the darker places of the Internet. But you won't get as much of a gameplay experience as you will if you decide to purchase the full game for $19.99 (the full version of MindHabits comes with twice as more levels and game playing time than the online one).

"We hear so much about the negative impact of games, but here is scientific proof that games can also have the very real ability to create a positive impact," said Got Game Entertainment President Howard Horowitz. "We are definitely proud to bring this expanded version of 'MindHabits' to an even wider audience."

So, if you have five spare minutes per day and wish to use them constructively, play some games. We don't know if this works with Halo or COD, but we're sure MindHabits promises to do the job flawlessly.
