Fable II is a very popular game these days, largely due to the fact that it gives players such a unique story, which can be influenced in a wide variety of ways. The lead designer of this game, Peter Molyneux, has touted the innovations and features of this title ever since the development started.

Launched a few weeks ago, the game was eagerly anticipated by fans who wanted to get a taste of the sequel to one of the most promising but a bit buggy games of 2004, Fable. It gained quite a lot of critical acclaim for things such as the very good AI (Artificial Intelligence) or the fact that the player can choose almost any aspect of his in-game life, but it wasn't so appreciated for the rather short story.

However, Fable II fans need to get ready now, because a recent blog post on the official site of the game developer, Lionhead, speaks about a big announcement that will be made next week. Although nothing else is mentioned, rumors have already started to appear regarding the subject the upcoming announcement will have. Things from DLC (Downloadable Content) to an expansion to the game story have all surfaced but nobody can really confirm anything.

"We've got some good news for all Fable II fans next week, dare I even say it's quite a big announcement? Yes of course I dare say it's a big announcement regarding Fable II, next week!" reads the official blog post.

Well one thing's for sure, this statement has definitely got the Fable II fan base really excited about the upcoming news. You can clearly see how this announcement is the work of the PR people as it is bound to stir up a lot of interest in the game and will surely sell some more copies.

Let's just hope that it will be worth it and the large number of Fable II fans will be pleased with what Lionhead has to announce about their favorite game.
