Well, launch is a strong word. After all, the new product is not actually available yet. Only pre-orders have started.
Still, it's better than nothing, and the TDK Trek is definitely worth a once-over, if nothing else, with its 7-inch length, NFC wireless support, Bluetooth and pair of full-range drivers and passive radiators.
What's more, despite its looks, the TDK Trek is IP64 rated as well, which means that it won't take damage if it is rained on. That's why it's an outdoor speaker.
As for power, the internal battery can, needless to say, be recharged. All in all, not bad for a $99.95 / €74.20 product. There's even a Built-in microphone for hands-free calls.
