Three UK is yet another wireless carrier around the world set to offer its users the possibility to taste Windows Phone 7 as soon as the platform hits shelves, and went official with plans to have the Samsung Omnia 7 available for purchase come October 21st, with pre-orders for the device beginning today.

The Samsung Omnia 7 is one of the two Windows Phone 7 devices the South Korean mobile phone maker would launch during the ongoing year.

Boasting a 4.0 inch Super AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen display, the new mobile phone comes with the Windows Phone 7 user interface and integrated experiences, while packing Xbox LIVE games, as well as the Zune music and video experience.

Starting with October 21st, Three UK users interested in the purchase of the new device would find it available dressed in black on The One Plan for £40, on the Internet Texter 900 for £38, and on the Internet Texter 500 for £35 per month, the carrier announced.

Moreover, the wireless services provider unveiled that the device is available for pre-order starting today, October 12th, on its website here.

“97% of the traffic on our network comes from data use and we’ve built a network to support this type of smartphone and the live dynamic updates it provides across social media platforms and internet services,” Sylvia Chind, Head of Branded Devices at Three, commented.

“We want to provide a range of handsets and operating systems to our customers and we’re excited to now offer Windows Phone 7 on the Samsung Omnia 7.

“This handset further bolsters our smartphone offering at a time when our network is at its strongest and when we can offer customers a sizable 1GB of data on The One Plan for them to enjoy all the features Windows Phone 7 offers.”

The specifications list of the new phone includes a 5.0MP photo snapper with auto focus, HD 720P video recording capabilities and LED Flash, a 1GHZ application processor, and up to 8GB of internal memory.

Moreover, the handset comes with WiFi n, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, and GPS receiver, as well as with all the sensors smartphones pack these days.

A great deal of other features were also included into the mix, such as Pinch & Zoom for Browser, Maps and for Photos, Xbox Live, Zune Music & Video Player, Bing Search, Bing Maps, Microsoft Office, and access to the Windows Marketplace.
