An anonymous prankster is trying to make wine shopping more exiting by swapping wine descriptions with his own hilarious versions at his local shop.

The joker created five homemade labels and inserted them on shelves under various bottles of wine at a Tesco in Brixton, south London. The customized labels look almost the same as the normal Tesco ones do, with barcode and information about Clubcard points, but the only thing that differs is the product description printed on them.

That's why it's possible that some shoppers don't even notice the prank unless they closely examine the cards. Actually, the prankster thinks staff still haven't noticed the change, Metro says.

The new comedy labels describe a £5.79 ($9.73/€7.14) bottle of Shiraz as tasting like “bitter clown tears with a hint of suspicion,” while regions of choice like the Loire valley, Provence and Burgundy have been replaced with Costcutter, the 2-4-1 section and Strongbow.

The prankster says he came up with the idea while shopping with his partner. “I was navigating the aisles of my local supermarket when, due to my girlfriend’s inability to make a quick decision, my eye was drawn to the flowery descriptions of some of their lower end,” he recalls.
