It uses the Gold Power Kit and keeps the fans running after the PC is turned off

The Radeon R9 270X graphics card is pretty strong on its own, even if not on the level of the R9 280X/290/290X, but PowerColor decided it should be better.

So it took it, overclocked it, gave it some nice components to cope with the stronger electrical currents and tossed in a dual-fan cooler for good measure. The end result is called PCS+ R9 270X.

Those special components are a Digital PWM, Ferrite Conducting Power (FCP) and multiple power phases. They form the PowerColor Gold Power Kit (lots of gold used here, yes).

The cooler is a dual-fan model (90mm diameter) with three heatpipes and a pure copper base, but a full-length heatsink.

As for the performance, the GPU works at 1,060 MHz / 1,100 MHz boost (stick speeds at 1,000 MHz and 1,050 MHz, respectively).

Finally, the Turbo Time technology is available, keeping the fans spinning for a while after PC shutdown, ensuring adequate cooling and, by extension, longer lifespan.

Price and availability details of the PowerColor PCS+ R9 270X continue to elude us, alas.
