Powercolor, one of AMD's largest board partners for ATI Radeon graphics cards, has recently rolled out a new, custom-designed graphics card based on AMD's latest RV790 GPU, the Radeon HD 4890. The new Powecolor Radeon HD4890 has been equipped with a liquid cooling solution and a factory-overclocked GPU that will provide users with a higher level of performance, compared to reference designs. In addition to the new LCS HD4890, Powercolor is also preparing the launch of a new custom-designed Radeon HD 4890, one that will be equipped with a ZeroTherm dual-slot cooler.

AMD's recent launch of the highly anticipated RV790-based Radeon HD4890 has enabled its partners to bring to the market a new single-GPU high-end graphics card that can provide PC users with a higher level of performance, compared to AMD's HD4870 cards. Powercolor is one of those partners that have already rolled out their custom-designed 4890 cards, one of which is the new PowerColor LCS HD4890. The card is equipped with 1GB of GDDR5 memory, a 900MHz GPU and a liquid cooling solution that can effectively dissipate the heat over the GPU.

“PowerColor created the LCS line to meet the needs of the most extreme gamers. The most demanding gamers need a cooling solution that can keep up with their demands,” said Ted Chen, CEO of TUL Corporation. “We know not all enthusiast gamers are created the same. That's why our LCS line is the most flexible VGA liquid cooling solution on the market.”

According to the manufacturer, the card will be available on the market starting April 16 for about $339. Despite the considerably higher price tag over reference models, the PowerColor LCS HD4890 comes with a single-slot cooling solution that can lower the GPU temperature by up to 20 degrees Celsius.

In addition to the new LCS card, Powercolor is expected to unveil a new Radeon HD 4890 that will be equipped with a ZeroTherm cooling solution and core speed of 950MHz, while the memory will run at 4400MHz. The card is slated to be launched later this month for a price tag that isn't currently available.
