Company expects its powdered alcohol will hit markets worldwide later this year

A US-based company hopes to soon introduce folks worldwide to one really wacky way to go from sobriety to walking-on-sunshine in a matter of minutes. In a nutshell, this company is planning to launch powdered alcohol.

On its website, the company, dubbed Lipsmark LLC, explains that the powdered alcohol it has developed and hopes to soon make available in the United States and several other countries across the globe is named Palcohol.

By the looks of it, Palcohol, which should hit markets sometime later this year, will come in two forms: a so-called Beverage Formulation, which the company says will be ingestible, and an Industrial Formulation, which will be non-ingestible.

According to Lipsmark LLC, the Beverage Formulation variant of its powdered alcohol is designed in such ways that folks will be able to dissolve it in water and thus fix themselves a nice vodka or rum, depending on personal taste, on the spot.

The company says that, all things considered, this ingestible powdered alcohol will likely prove a hit among people who like to enjoy a drink every once in a while but who find it terribly troublesome to always carry a bottle of liquor with them.

“Palcohol is a boon to outdoors enthusiasts such as campers, hikers and others who wanted to enjoy adult beverages responsibly without having the undue burden of carrying heavy bottles of liquid,” the company writes in the product description on its website.

“Moderate quantities of flavored Palcohol products carried in resealable pouches are a fraction of the weight and bulk associated with traditional liquor packaging,” Lipsmark LLC goes on to detail on the perks of opting for its powdered alcohol over traditional liquor.

As far as its Industrial Formulation Palcohol is concerned, the US-based company argues that this type of powdered alcohol is intended to be used in medicine, manufacturing, and even in the energy sector. Thus, this non-ingestible could be used as an antiseptic, and might even serve as a fuel source.

On its website, the company stresses that its powdered alcohol is not intended to be snorted by folks looking to become inebriated as fast and with as little effort as possible. More so given the fact that, to get the same buzz as from a shot of vodka, one would have to keep snorting for quite a while.

“It's painful to snort due to the alcohol. Second, it's impractical. It takes approximately 60 minutes to snort the equivalent of one shot of vodka. Why would anyone do that when they can do a shot of liquid vodka in two seconds?” Lipsmark LLC says.

Still, chances are that, as soon as this product makes its debut, be it in the United States or in some other part of the world, there will be some people who will be ill-inspired enough to try and enjoy their next drink through their nose. Hopefully, no harm will come to these daredevils.
