The two divas offer glowing endorsments for one another

Some of us sometimes forget it, but in between touring the world with the Spice Girls, being a high-profile footballer's wife and a self-styled fashionista, Victoria Beckham is also a budding designer. And if, so far, her forays into the world of high fashion have been somewhat tentative, she can boast an impressive count of A-list friends who can very easily lend her a helping hand in developing her career. Marc Jacobs, for example, is known to be among her close friends - but who knew that Victoria and Naomi Campbell were also such good friends?

The two divas couldn't come from more different backgrounds - both professionally and fashion-wise. However, they seem to have struck an unlikely friendship, so much so in fact that Victoria even used the fiery supermodel as inspiration for her jeans line. Victoria thus designed a signature "Naomi by dVb" style of jeans dedicated exclusively to those who want to achieve the same look and aura as the British supermodel - hopefully, without the fiery temper and the airplane tantrums. The "Naomi by dVb" jeans retail for ?250 (about $500) at Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges in the U.K.

In the wake of their profitable collaboration, the two fashion-prone Brits didn't hesitate to endorse one another via glowing press statements. "I love the fit, model and cut of the Naomi jeans Victoria Beckham has designed. I have already worn them many times and people always stop me and ask the make of my jeans," Campbell revealed.

In her turn, Victoria added that "the Naomi by dVb takes these elements into a denim cut which makes the leg look incredibly long. Who better to name this style after than Naomi Campbell?" Indeed, this sounds like a match made in (designer) heaven. Stay tuned to learn who will be Victoria's next source of inspiration. Katie Holmes, anyone?
