Pinsir and Heracross, two Pokemon capable of Mega Evolution, will be available for download between Pokemon X and Pokemon Y later this month, Nintendo has announced.

The motto "gotta catch'em all" requires some serious dedication from Pokemon players who take it to heart, thus Nintendo has decided to offer those who are too caught up in the mundane drudgery of our everyday lives a helping hand in realizing their dream.

With over 700 official Pokemon (and countless fan-made Fakemon) out in the wild, especially with some of them being limited to only one edition of the dual-release Pokemon X and Y, Nintendo's distribution event is a godsend for players looking to get closer to the elusive Master status.

Heracross is limited to Pokemon Y, and Pinsir is only available in Pokemon X, but starting August 13, both Pokemon X and Y trainers will be able to download the level-50 versions of either of the two via the Nintendo Network.

In addition to growing their Pokedex, trainers can also head over to the nearest Gamespot from August 18 through August 31, in order to nab exclusive codes for the two Pokemon's Mega Stones, the Heracronite and Pinsirite, in-game items that allow the two to Mega Evolve during battles.

If you're interested in getting a complete run-down of both Heracross and Pinsir, you can do so at the promotion's description page. If you want to get either of them, you can do so by simply connecting your Nintendo 3Ds system to the Internet, selecting Mystery Gift in the main menu, selecting Yes when the Receive Gift dialog pops up, and agree to get it over the Internet.

Next, you have to patiently wait while Heracross (for Pokemon X) or Pinsir (for Pokemon Y) download to your device, and when the transfer is complete, you have to simply speak to the delivery girl in any Pokemon Center in order to add either Heracross or Pinsir to your party. Also, make sure to save your game after receiving the new Pokemon.

In case you are experiencing any difficulties with the transfer, you should visit Nintendo's support page for assistance.

The latest Pokemon games are the upcoming remakes of the Game Boy Advance classics, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, slated for release on November 21 in Japan, Australasia and North America, and November 28 in Europe, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS handheld gaming console.

The game includes several gameplay and visual enhancements, along with new Mega Evolution for many of the Pokemon found in-game, and a redesigned continent of Hoenn to explore.
