14 DAY TRIAL // The Pokemon Company and Nintendo are delivering a new trailer for their upcoming Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, which is designed to offer fans of the series a deeper look at the various gameplay and story elements they will discover as they explore the Hoenn region.
The footage shows off a new mega-evolved creature, called Mega Metagross, and the two companies are saying that he "is the partner Pokemon of Pokémon League Champion Steven, whose deep bond helps it to Mega Evolve into Mega Metagross. Despite helping Trainers throughout their journey, Steven is the last obstacle for Trainers to overcome before becoming the Pokémon League Champion."
Mega Metagross is also known as the Iron Leg Pokemon and is a massive steel and psychic creature that is 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) tall and weighs in at 942.9 kg (2078.7 pounds).
In Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, he has an increased speed stat and gains a powerful Tough Claws ability that allows him to upgrade the power of his melee attacks, which means that gamers can use him effectively both on the offensive and the defensive side.
Nintendo also confirms that its upcoming title will include Pokemon-Amie, which was first introduced in Pokemon X and Y, allowing all gamers to play games with their creatures, pet them and feed them special snacks in order to increase their ability to evade attacks, deliver critical hits and get an overall boost in terms of battle performance.
The developer also confirms the fact that Pikachu can now cosplay, turning into Pikachu Rock Star, Pikachu Belle, Pikachu Pop Star, Pikachu Ph.D., and Pikachu Libre.
Nintendo also delivers some details about the story of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, which will feature the Hoenn region and will allow gamers to start their adventure when they meet Professor Birch, the leader of the lab in Litleroot Town.
The company adds, "The first step to becoming the Champion is to challenge and defeat each of the Gym Leaders in the Hoenn region, including the main character’s father, Norman, who is the Leader of the Petalburg City Gym. It was also confirmed today that players will encounter and battle Rustboro City Gym Leader Roxanne, Dewford Town Gym Leader Brawly, Mauville City Gym Leader Wattson, and Lavaridge Town Gym Leader Flannery."
The final battle in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will involve Mega Metagross, who is being controlled by the Hoenn League Champion, Steven.
The new title will be launched on November 21 in North America and in Japan and one week later in Europe on the 3DS handheld.
