And nothing more

We don't really know whether you have ever heard about independent game developers Nnooo - they are the folks currently working on a WiiWare title called Pop where you have to... pop bubble balloons in order to score points. Yes, not exactly the funniest thing to do on your spare time, but nobody is perfect. Anyway... we're not here to complain about the stupidity of many Wii games, but to discuss something that might sound really appealing for many gamers in the world: a Pokemon MMO game!

Well, it seems that the guys from Nnooo, besides developing balloon popping titles, have some huge plans for the future (or just want to score some easy extra bucks): they have the license for a Pokemon MMO game, currently in the "pitch" status which means that, basically, they only have a name and nothing more. The same is the situation for more licenses held by the independent developers: an X-Men MMO and an online multiplayer James Bond-based title. And one thing is clear from the list: the folks understand that the MMOs are the future.

However, it is really interesting to follow the progress of the Pokemon MMO especially since it is, by far, the concept with most fans. We are extremely curious if a relatively unknown developer and clearly a small company can take on such a big project and turn it into a worldwide success. They would theoretically have all they need - a solid fanbase of the game, a relatively easy to make game and an entire universe to play with. They would still need the money, of course, and that bit of luck to fight against the giants like WoW, Lineage and the recent Age of Conan. Still, this doesn't mean that a Pokemon MMO would be considered dead weight by fans, especially since Nintendo will soon remain out of minerals for the games...
