Now that there's not much new on the feature front with WordPress.com, since all of the new things in WordPress 3.2 have already been integrated, Automattic, the company behind the popular blogging host, is introducing a plethora of new, elegant or fun themes to keep your blog looking fresh and to widen your choice.

The very latest addition to the WordPress theme gallery is Esquire an elegant theme, as the name implies, with a static sidebar and a simple yet stylish look.

Apart from good looks, there's another thing that sets Esquire apart, bloggers can customize the look of each individual post, via Post Formats. With it, each post can have a different look and feel, to suit its contents or its mood.

Another theme added recently to WordPress.com is Blogum, a minimalistic three column theme that focuses on functionality and content.

"Blogum has a grid-based layout and is designed in a modern style. This very clean style allows your reader to precisely focus on your content," WordPress.com described the theme.

"Blogum has a widget area in the right sidebar. It also includes a full-width template to hide the sidebar. You are able to customize even more with a header image, background, and custom menu," it added.

WordPress.com also recently added a paid theme, dubbed React, suitable more for businesses or anyone with more static content that has to be showcased.

Piano Black is yet another new theme, with a slick yet not over the top design. It looks fairly modern without sacrificing too much practicality.

Finally, there's the Manifest theme, which, as the name implies, is designed to showcase the posts and nothing else. If that's all you care about, Manifest is a great theme for you. It also features several post formats.
