Sony has just updated its PlayStation Home online social network, taking it to version 1.50 and adding a lot of brand new features that will make the service even more attractive to PlayStation 3 users from all around the world.

PlayStation Home didn't have the best of starts, with many people claiming that it was just like another online social network, Second Life, but only for PS3 consoles.

Slowly but surely, however, Sony has been adding lots of new features to the service, making it more attractive and a great place to meet and hang out with other PS3 owners.

Now, the Japanese company has just deployed an update for Home, taking it to version 1.50, which, according to the company, adds even more new tools for developers to use when creating experiences for Home, and upgrades the whole service for the end-user.

Check out some of the brand new updates included in PlayStation Home version 1.50 below.

-Real-time Multiplayer: Improved networking allows fast-action online multiplayer games to be created, such as first-person shooters and online racing games. -Physics: Developers now have improved access to the core elements of the Havok physics engine, resulting in more sophisticated and realistic gameplay. -Animation & Graphics: More control over animation and graphic settings means developers can create better looking games than ever before.

In order to properly showcase the new features, Sony's James Gallagher advises PlayStation Home users to head on over to the Audi Hub in the virtual network, where they can a free apartment and engage in a brand new multiplayer game, the Audi S1 Sledge.

Besides the brand new update for Home, Sony has also added a new TankTop game to the Blaster's Paradise area of the SodiumOne space, as well as quite a lot of other new features.

With the upgrades made to PlayStation Home, expect even more new things to appear for the service in the new future.
