We're not advertising anything here, unless you count letting everyone know about a funny error as advertising a product. Turns out that Doc from SarcasticGamer.com took a ride at the local Wal-Mart for some shopping only to find out that next-gen world had turned upside down. One of Microsoft's displays showed Xbox 360 controllers and had the Xbox logo all over it, while in the shelves you could rest your eyes on beautiful... PS3 SIXAXIS controllers.

It was New Year's Day after all, so maybe a couple of fellow over at Wal-Mart had an extra champagne and they've messed up the display cases. I'm sure that at some point, a parent must have gotten confused and bought his Xbox 360-owning child a PS3 controller. Maybe the store had run out of Xbox 360 controllers and thought that they should replace them with the similar accessories of the competing console manufacturer. They should have done the same with the Nintendo Wii, since it keeps running out and must be replaced by something...

After all, erring is human, so there's no reason to point fingers endlessly (unless they keep the display case like this for days), specially since it was New Year's Day. I know a couple of Microsoft representatives that won't dig this piece of news too much, since contracts with Wal-Mart and advertising campaigns are not cheap at all. Imagine selling Metal Gear Solid 4 in Halo 3 cases... Uncool, right? ? However, I wouldn't be upset to get Solid Snake's latest adventure at the same price of a Halo 3 disk.

Of course someone asked at some point what was the PS3 controller in Xbox 360 display case all about, but the answer might surprise you, as it goes something like: "they cam from Microsoft that way". Do you believe that?
