14 DAY TRIAL // PlayFon and Sony Ericsson have announced a new partnership whose goal is to develop and introduce premium interactive services designed for Sony Ericsson handsets.
In the nearest future, Sony Ericsson's customers will have instant access to the best wireless content on the company's WAP and web sites.
"Such partnership paves new avenues in the market of wireless communications. First and foremost it is a real medium of searching top-quality mobile content, the problem end users face due to incessant development of new technologies and constant model line-up renovation," PlayFon Vice-President Vladimir Borodin said.
"By offering best wireless entertainment directly through phone menu and on its own resources Sony Ericsson is making another stride toward customers who want to fully use the functions of their handsets certified by manufacturer," he added.
Under the partner agreement with Sony Ericsson PlayFon offers Russian subscribers more than 800 games, 5000 ringtones, 4500 wallpapers, 1000 videos and 500 themes. All these products are available to Russian owners of Sony Ericsson handsets through the link embedded into the menu, on the site www.sonyericsson.ru, in the section "Fun & downloads", as well as in the Russian section of wap.sonyericsson.com.
"We are positive that our cooperation with PlayFon will be efficient and fruitful. For many customers Sony Ericsson handset is not merely a communication tool but rather a real interactive device with many extra functions including entertainment options," Irina Kostina, Sony Ericsson Russia Head of Marketing Department said.
