I usually prefer the paperback version of a book, but, as I don't have time to read all the books I want, I'm glad someone thought of me and launched the portable device that comes pre-loaded with an audio book.

The latest innovation on the audio books specialized segment is named PlayAway Book and sports earbuds, a battery and a bunch of books to choose from such as "Anansi Boys," John Grisham's "The Broker," Stephen King's "Cell" and the famous "The Da Vinci Code". Each title costs $34.95, and is powered by an AAA battery.

There is also a player that benefits from the Audible Book online service - iriver's latest gadget, the new version of the previous model T10, which offers 2 GB of storage capacity and easy access to any audio title signed AudibleReady right out of the box.

All the gadget fans who will buy an iriver T10 media player will receive a free book from Audible. Therefore, you can choose from some of the most well-known 'library jackpots' such as "1984", George Orwell, "It's Not about the Bike", Lance Armstrong, "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", C.S. Lewis, "The Silence of the Lambs", Thomas Harris, "The Soul of Capitalism", William Greider, "Talk to the Hand", Lynne Truss or "The Time Traveler's Wife", Audrey Niffenegger.

"iriver is committed to providing valuable features, content and services to our device customers," said Jonathan Sasse, president of iriver America. "We are thrilled to continue offering direct access to Audible's impressive library selection of quality digital audio content including books, radio broadcasts, magazines, news and podcasts."

The 2GB iriver T10 is already available at the iriver eStore and at Amazon.com at a suggested price of $149.
