Don't know why but there is something inherently cool about guitars, I mean how many musical instruments can say they have their own air playing world championship, countless numbers of fake guitars making their way into toy stores across the years, the Air Guitar Pro being the latest to make its appearance.

And while you wouldn't say this is that much different from other offerings that are available in toy stores across the world, the Air Guitar Pro actually comes with an interesting innovation since this thing drops the usual strings in favour of an infrared beam to detect the cords that you are strumming.

So, apart from the obvious coolness factor that is associated with playing it, the Air Guitar Pro features quite an compact design, making it ideal for a crowded living room since it can be easily dismissed once you get tired of it (and I am willing to bet this will happen rather quickly).

Infrared strings aside, this also comes with seven buttons on the neck for playing chords, buttons for playing sharps, minors and even a built-in sensor that changes the sound effect according to how your body is tilted.

And, of course, the Air Guitar Pro also features a built-in speaker and although I can't say that I heard it in action, I don't really expect too much from it, but then again nobody expects this toy guitar to actually sound good.

Anyway, if you have always wanted to learn how to play guitar and never actually gotten around to doing this, then you can certainly take the $10.99 Air Guitar Pro for a spin as this thing is so small that you will most certainly find some place to toss it around when you grow tired of it (after five minutes or so).
