Play N Trade is a California-based video game store franchise. It is "the fastest-growing video game retailer" in the United States, having almost 100 outlets and is expected to have 1,000 stores by the end of 2008. Play N Trade stores sell new and used video games and consoles and also accept trade-ins, including of old games. Other important services provide disk repair, console repair and cleaning, and a pre-purchase trial option, where customers can play any game in the store prior to purchasing it.

March 3, 2007 brings to you Play N Trade National Halo 2 Tournament with the winners from each store competing on March 10, 2007 to determine the national champion. Each local store winner will receive a free edition of Halo 3 immediately upon release and a $200 in-store gift certificate. The Play N Trade National Halo 2 Tournament Champion will also receive a 32-inch high-definition LCD TV for maximum gaming and entertainment enjoyment, as well as a $1500 in-store gift card.

Yuvi Shmul, CEO of Play N Trade stated: "The Play N Trade National Halo 2 Tournament is a great opportunity for gamers to get together and share their passion for playing and competing, and to show off their skills. Play N Trade is dedicated to providing the ultimate gaming experience, and this tournament is just one example of that commitment. Our stores offer a community atmosphere where gamers can try before they buy, trade-in or sell used games, choose from a wide selection of products ranging from retro gaming to the latest consoles and games, or have their consoles or discs repaired."

You can already register for the competition, paying an entry fee of $10 until March 3, after that, it will be 15 bucks. You can even register for the local tournament up to a half hour before start time. There is a bit of a catch though, you'll need your parent's signature on a consent form to show that they have nothing against the whole thing. The parental consent form and complete tournament rules and regulations are available on this site.
