Some things, like this news you're about to read, are simply amazing! A mod team officially accepted by Crytek, RenEvo Software & Designs, has created, after six months of work, a Crysis mod that allows players to control the wonderful shooter only by using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Just to be sure everybody gets it right: no, they did not port Crysis to the Nintendo Wii and, basically, Nintendo's console won't be needed to play Crysis. It's the good old PC modded, baby!

Although we didn't have enough time to test this really exciting mod (they called it Wiisis), it seems that it works just fine. And everything is possible: you will be able to jump by flicking your Wii Nunchuk up, crouch by tilting your Wii Nunchuk down or prone by tilting it even further, punch or zoom in with your weapon by motioning your Wii Remote forward, pick up objects by lifting your Wii Remote up or throw a grenade by lobbing your Wii Remote over your head. This last one sounds dangerous, but we should give it a try anyway!

Here is the official word from RenEvo: "Available now as a full-featured C++ modification for Crysis, Wiisis will allow you to explore the fun world of Crysis using your Nintendo Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers. All of the controls in the game have been mapped to your Wii Remote and Nunchuk through buttons and forms of motion. Everything from movement and aiming, to Nano Suit controls and menus, to vehicles including tanks and VTOLs, are fully supported." Did you hear that? Everything!

Also, Nintendo's controller unique features are supported, including use of the Wii Sensor Bar (but that's not required) for higher-precision aiming, utilization of the remote's rumble and other stuff such as Retain View Mode for aim assistance.

The only thing you need in order to get gaming at a different level is a Bluetooth receiver. You can read all the details on the oficial website here. Also, you can check Softpedia's Crysis review here.
