A crash landing of a small plane is caught on tape in the unique cockpit footage posted above.

The flight marked the first training session for 18-year-old Josh Matica. The incident took place near Queensland, Australia, according to ABC.

The crash landing at Victoria Point was done by the book, but anyone in that position would have been terrified.

In this case, both trainer and trainee remain eerily calm. 22-year-old instructor, Doug Field, notices that the J-170 light aircraft is starting to lose power and takes control.

He steadily tries to find a place to land and notifies the control tower.

"We're at 1,100 feet (335 meters), we've got about a bit under two minutes before we're going to hit the ground at this point in time," he recalls.
