Pioneer has quite a long history as far as the manufacturer of car infotainment and navigation solutions are concerned, and now, the company's back with three new products of this type, namely the NavGate AVIC-F930BT, AVIC-F9310BT and AVIC-F30BT, providing a comprehensive set of features, fit to match most high-tech, modern cars.

The new navigation and entertainment solutions from Pioneer offer wireless telephony and audio streaming via the built-in Bluetooth modules, playback options include direct control of iPod, iPhone and files from SD card and USB.

Furthermore, the new navigation devices offer a comprehensive, preinstalled map database from Tele Atlas and they also enable the user to find their own POIs from a range of sources, such as Google Maps mapping service, internet POI sites and geotagged images and add them to their system’s maps using an SD card, USB device or Bluetooth (this is one of the coolest implementations of cross-platform solutions we've come across in a while).

Moreover, the new car units from Pioneer offer MusicSphere technology, a vehicle status display input, as well as an App Mode that lets users view a connected iPhone or iPod touch’s video content from Safari, YouTube and other select apps directly on the system’s high resolution screen.

Additionally, in order to provide a good level of protection, the bottom section of the AVIC-F930BT’s control panel, which is small enough to fit into a pocket, can be removed, thus deterring theft.

“Consumers today want to stay ‘connected’ and are using their smartphone devices to do this while on the go. By equipping its newest NavGate units with a large high-resolution touch screen that features an intuitive user interface specifically designed for the automotive environment, Pioneer aims to reduce the risk of distraction while driving,” said Geert Verhoeven, Product Planning Manager at Pioneer Europe.

“Easy control of music and videos is guaranteed thanks to dynamic shortcuts to source menus and file lists, interactive 3D animation, Slide Touch control and personalisation options,” the company's rep added.

Sadly, Pioneer's not provided any clues on the pricing, but it's quite likely that you'll manage to find out more on this topic via your local aftermarket car audio solutions retailers.
