Nokia 3500 might not be the hottest phone around, but it is one of those handsets that look good, are easy to use, and have a price point that anyone can afford. It's no wonder then that Nokia has prepared several color versions for it, and one of them – the pink – is now available for mobile users across Canada.

The pink phone is offered by Fido, the only Canadian carrier to have it in its line-up of products, and it comes several months after a black/blue version was launched. While you might expect the new handset to be completely pink, it’s actually only the navigation pad and the keys (when they light up) that have to do with the new color.

Feature-wise, Nokia 3500 is only an entry-level device, offering tri-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE, a 1.8-inch TFT display with 128 x 160 pixels and 256K colors, Music player, Stereo FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Web browser, email and Instant Messaging, a 2 Megapixel camera, miniUSB and only 8.5MB of internal memory. Luckily, that can be expanded with a microSD card (but no bigger than 2GB).

The candybar weighs 81 grams, measures 107 x 45 x 13.1 millimeters, and includes an 820 mAh battery that can last up to 3 hours in talk-time mode or up to 280 hours in stand-by mode.

The prices for Nokia 3500 in pink are similar to the ones of the first version launched by Fido. In consequence, if you want a new contract agreement for three years, you can buy the candybar for only 15 Canadian dollars. The phone is also offered with a two-year contract (for $90), or on Pre-pay, for $100.

The pink Nokia 3500 is currently listed as “not in stock” on Fido's official website but, if you visit one of the Canadian carrier's retail stores, you stand great chances to find it available.
