The development team at Obsidian is delivering a new update for the creation process of Pillars of Eternity, which is designed to reveal some more details about the game’s world, including the Godlike characters and some new areas.

The team is also urging all gamers who need to complete surveys that are linked to the game design to do so as soon as possible, before March 31.

Rose Gomez, a producer working on the title, writes on the official forums that, “It's important that you get your surveys completed by the deadline because we are closing in on Alpha quickly. The team needs ample time to get your content into the game. We can't guarantee your in-game contribution will make it into the game if you are late.”

Recently, Obsidian has revealed that it is planning to launch Pillars of Eternity for all gamers on the PC, Mac and Linux in winter 2014.

The update from the development team also includes information on the Godlike, one of the many varieties of characters that players will be able to deal with in the role-playing game.

The team explains, “Godlike manifest their divine heritage in a variety of ways, and in the case of the Death Godlike that heritage can be seen through their wicked looking horns and the misting darkness that shrouds their visage.”

An attached video offers more information on how the team designed the appearance of the characters.

Images of two new zones are also offered.

Pillars of Eternity is a classic role-playing game with a world that was created from scratch by Obsidian, but should be familiar to all fantasy fans.

The core of the game is built upon party-based tactical combat and players will have a lot of opportunities to develop their characters in interesting ways.
