Obsidian has just released another consistent patch for their Pillars of Eternity RPG masterpiece. Patch 1.06 brings hundreds of bug fixes and balance adjustments, as well as UI tweaks.

Developers had been testing this patch for about a month now with the help of Steam players who enrolled into the beta program. Those who already had access to the beta version of patch 1.06 already know most of the changes it brings into the game.

Keep in mind that the patch 1.06 is about 833MB in size and will be downloaded automatically when you log in to your Steam account, assuming you have that setting enabled.

Moving on to what changes the patch contains, one of the most important seems to be a fix for quest in the main plot.

Fixes for main and companions quests

Patch 1.06 provides a fix for cases where hurting a Crucible Knight during the Forge Knight attack on Crucible Keep would cause Lady Webb to assume that you had burned the bridges with the knights' faction, thus forcing the invite to the hearing to come from Dunryd Row.

Fortunately, this fix is also retroactive, but only for cases where Lady Webb still waits to hear your word about getting an invite. So, if this applies to you as well, then you can head over to Hadret House and speak with Webb to continue with the Crucible Knight's support as intended in your playthrough.

Also, after the patch is applied, attacking any main faction after acquiring their invite will now properly result in a quest update that asks players to talk to Webb about getting an invite in some other fashion (Dunryd Row support).

These are only a fraction of the changes patch 1.06 includes, but for the full list of fixes and tweaks check out the changelog below.
