Obsidian has just announced that patch 1.05 for their Pillars of Eternity RPG should now be available for download on Steam. The GOG and Origin versions of the game will receive the patch in the coming weeks, developers claim.

Patch 1.05 has been in testing for about a little bit more than three weeks, so it should bring other bugs and issues if tested properly during that time.

The changelog is pretty big and includes some new features, mostly cosmetic, as well as lots of balance adjustments and general fixes. Some changes to items, spells and abilities have been implemented too.

It's also important to note that once you update to version 1.05, you will be able to rename save games if that's what you want. In addition, players will be given the option to change the portrait and sound set of characters from the character sheet.

Other changes included in the patch is a new Stash sorting option that allows players to sort the stash by item type, enchant score, and sell value.

There are tons of fixes related to companions and quests

The update also brings a new feature that will surely appeal to many players. It looks like Obisidian has added an option in the Difficulty settings to reset newly recruited companions to level 1 (without losing the experience) when they get added to the party for the first time.

This was one of the many highly requested options by players and Obsidian has decided to allow them to level up companions the way they see fit. In fact, this should have been in the game from day one, but it's better late than never.

Last but not least, lots of bugs related to quests and companions have been included in the patch. There are literally a ton of bug fixes in this area, such as the issues where companions could lose their items when assigned to stronghold.

We have attached below the full list of changes included in patch 1.05 for Pillars of Eternity. Check it out and then log in to Steam to download it.
