The third part of the “Expendables” franchise isn't out in theaters just yet, but there is already talk of a sequel, which would bring the number of movies with aging action stars to a respectable four. At the moment, people are beginning to wonder who else might find a role in the next movie's line-up.

First on the list of potential actors to be added to the Expendables crew is Pierce Brosnan, an actor who earned his fame in the 90s by playing the role of the suave yet ruthless British spy James Bond. His first role was in 1995's “Goldeneye,” which would qualify him for a role in the Sylvester Stallone-written movies.

Comingsoon.net is claiming that Pierce is intrigued by the concept and has been aware of the fact that he's been targeted for a while now, since he'd been asked back in March to appear in the “Expendables 4,” but he declined at the time.

The actor is quoted as telling producer Avi Lerner, “If it works out and you have a good script, Avi, you know where to find me if you still want me. It's as simple as that really.”

The actor admits that he's tempted to return to the screen in the company of Stallone and the rest of the action heroes. “I had a grand time in his company. Sylvester Stallone is the one that's given us these wonderful platforms for actors who have and had careers to go play and have fun and to entertain. To bring a bunch of guys together who saved the world, fought the bad guys, and put them all on the same stage, that's crazy good,” he says.

He also had a very accurate description of what it means to star in an Expendables movie. “You can really change the world and that's great, but ‘The Expendables’? Yeah, I'd love to do ‘The Expendables.’ It's just a kick in the pants.”

Meanwhile, Stallone and the rest of the cast, which this time around includes actors Kelsey Grammer Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Wesley Snipes and Antonio Banderas, along with the classic crew made up of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Terry Crews, are ready to turn up the heat this summer.

The movie is set to premiere in movie theaters this August and all the promotional material, including trailers and posters indicate that it's going to be a non-stop adrenaline rush, as well as a ridiculous amount of testosterone.
