This is the second RX-series video board that surfaced this month

Since it won't be too long before Advanced Micro Devices finally launches its next generation of graphics adapters, photos of the products are appearing. Here we have the Radeon R7 260X.

It is going to be one of the weaker video cards. Still in the upper half of the market, but not really that close to the league where Radeon R9 290X operates.

All we I found out about it, beyond the obvious things in the pictures (black PCB, new and cool cooler shroud, single fan), is that the card will be based on the "Curacao" and "Bonaire XTX" chip.

No clue if the latter is a refined form of the Bonaire found on the Radeon HD 7790, but it would be ever so disappointing if AMD really used rebranded silicon. That's why I think Curacao is more likely.

The AMD Radeon R7 260X should be a good alternative for the many that won't afford the Hawaii R9-290X.
