The law clearly states that, whenever someone decided to visit your home without your explicitly giving them permission to do so, then that person must be made to pay for their deeds.

One can only assume that this is what the tiny bird featured in this picture thought about before deciding to take on a hawk which made the mistake of flying a tad too close to its nest.

Sources say that the picture was taken in the outskirts of San Salvador, and that this tiny bird belongs to a species known to wildlife researchers as the Great Kiskadee.

In case anyone was wondering, the bird of prey getting its behind kicked by the Great Kiskadee is a Harris Hawk.

“A lot of birds in the area were alarmed by the presence of the hawk but the Kiskadee was the only one that swooped in to attack, even though it could have been killed at any moment,” said photographer Gerardo Grassl, the man who captured this incident on camera.

Check out the picture below to see what happened to the hawk after the tiny bird saw fit to tackle it in mid-air.
