2-year-old Wolodja, a polar bear now living at Berlin's Tierpark Zoo, is supposed to be a “gentleman on a mission.”

Long story short, he was brought to this animal sanctuary to court Tonja, a female polar bear, and convince her to start a family with him.

However, romance appears to be the last thing on Wolodja's mind.

Zoo employees say that, much to their surprise, the polar bear would much rather spend his time diving into the pool in his enclosure than attempt getting in Tonja's good graces.

When he's not plunging headfirst into the pool or swimming in it, the polar bear sunbathes, sleeps, or gulps down food, sources tell us.

Truth be told, Wolodja's diving skills are pretty impressive. One can only hope they'll be enough to convince Tonja that Wolodja truly is a catch.
