It turns out that, contrary to what some might think, polar bears are not camera shy. Not all the time, at least.

On the contrary, they occasionally like to be at the center of attention, and will even smile for the camera if they feel like it.

The picture above was taken by photographer Thomas Kokta in Manitoba, Canada, Daily Mail reports.

Apparently, the three cubs and their mom had just emerged from their den at the time when the picture was snapped. What's more, it was the cubs' first time venturing into the great outdoors.

Consequently, all three look overjoyed at the thought of being able to enjoy a day in the sun.

Wildlife researchers say that, most of the time, female polar bears deliver just two cubs. This means that these triplets are a fairly rare sight, and all the more worthy of being the stars of their own photoshoot.
