14 DAY TRIAL // On July 8, Joey Mole chanced to come face to face with a monster waterspout that was hovering over Old Tampa Bay, Florida, fairly close to his home.
He quickly snapped some pictures of this odd phenomenon, and posted them online. It was only a short while before they went viral.
The picture above shows the waterspout curving downward from a cloud, and there is little denying that it looks surreal. The Blaze reports that AccuWeather.com meteorologist, Jesse Ferrell, first assumed that the picture was a fake.
“When I saw this photo this morning on social media, I couldn’t believe it was real,” he reportedly wrote on his blog.
However, it only took one short conversation with Joey Mole for him to become convinced that the image was legitimate.
Authorities say that the waterspout did not cause any major damage. No injuries were reported.
