This past Sunday, the Chimelong Safari Park in Guangzhou, China, witnessed a rather peculiar wedding ceremony. Thus, not one, not two, but three pairs of koalas got married at this animal sanctuary.

Interestingly enough, koalas are not known to hold monogamy very close at heart, which is why some are now wondering how long their love will last.

On the other hand, all of these animals are part and parcel of a breeding program rolled out by this safari park.

This basically means that they have little to no say in deciding what their love life is going to look like in the short and even in the long run. Sources report that, soon after exchanging their vows, the koalas were allowed to feast on some eucalyptus. Luckily for us, they also agreed to sit for a photo shoot.
