It's almost as if the frog is the crocodile's beloved pet

I don't know about you, but I have to admit I've never heard about crocodiles wanting to keep other animals as pets. And even if I did, I probably would not have believed it.

Hence, I find the photo above a tad puzzling. Mind you, this is not just because I am a bit surprised at the bravery of the frog.

On the contrary, it's also because I'm having trouble understanding why it is that the crocodile doesn't just close its mouth to at least scare the tiny amphibian away.

The picture was taken by 39-year-old Fahmi Bhs at a pool in Jakarta, Indonesia, Daily Mail reports.

Talking to the press, the photographer explained that, just minutes before the frog in this image set up camp on the crocodile's snout, the latter had the chance to feast on another amphibian that wasn't all that lucky.

Thus, Fahmi Bhs suspects that the only reason why this death-defying frog managed to stay out of the crocodile's mouth was because the reptile was too full to be bothered to hunt again.

“It looked as though the croc had eaten enough breakfast and just wanted to keep the frog as a ‘little pet’ instead,” the 39-year-old photographer explained.
