Having someone photobomb a picture of you isn't usually a reason to jump up and down with joy but, for this group of tourists, things turned out more than OK.

The photo above was taken in a protected area in Zimbabwe, Africa, Daily Mail tells us.

Apparently, the tourists featured in it had just finished a volunteering program at Imire: Rhino and Wildlife Conservation, and were taking some pictures that they wished to show their friends at home.

Without their knowing, the elephant crept up behind them, and ended up being the picture's main attraction.

Before anyone starts thinking that this pachyderm would do best to take some time to learn a thing or two about manners, it must be said that a keeper is actually to blame for the photobomb.

“While they were posing for the cameras one of the other handlers got an elephant called Makavhuzi to go up behind them,” fellow volunteer Marcus Söderlund explains.

“Eventually they noticed his presence and turned around and reacted with laughs, surprised looks and smiles,” he adds.
