I have no idea what was going through this crocs' mind when it realized what it had sunk its teeth into, but if I were to guess, I would say it was probably something along the lines of “holly cow.”

Funnily enough, the elephant looks as if the thing that bit it was not a crocodile, but a cute-looking mosquito there was no need to worry about.

Apparently, it took the pachyderm a few seconds to realize what had happened, and shake off the croc.

As was to be expected, the later did not put up a fight and willingly let go of the elephant's trunk. None of the animals was injured. Huffington Post tells us that the scene was caught on camera by photographer Ian Salisbury in Zambia's South Luangwa National Park.

“The action was so quick – a couple of seconds – and fortunately I had the camera pointing in the right direction. Having spent 30 years in the African bush, I [realize] how lucky I was to catch the scene,” the photographer later commented on the experience.
