There's something about interspecies friendships that simply makes people take a moment or two to ponder on the odd behaviors that animals sometimes display.

The picture above shows a 5-month-old bear cub hanging out with a 16-week-old baby chimpanzee.

From where I stand, these two young animals simply cannot get enough of each other, despite their belonging to entirely different species.

Sources say that Bam Bam (that's the bear cub) and Vali (the baby chimpanzee) are currently living at the Myrtke Beach Safari park in South Carolina.

Apparently, their bromance started one sunny day, when their keepers allowed them to play with each other for a few hours.

“We got them out there playing on a sunny day and they went on and on for hours. Neither of them wanted to quit. They would lie down and fall asleep at our feet, wake back up and start wrestling again,” park owner Bhagavan Antle reportedly said.
