You're never too young to start looking after your health, the tapir calf pictured above seems to think.

The baby tapir was born on July 1 at Dublin Zoo. His parents, Rio and Marmaduke, have one other son, named Marmaduke Junior.

However, they don't seem to mind that they now have two mouths to feed. Truth be told, the zoo employees are the ones who bring home the bacon, so this tapir family really has nothing to worry about.

“We are delighted with the birth of the tapir calf. He is already getting on really well with his older brother MJ, who is very protective of him,” zoo keeper Eddie O'Brien said in a statement, Zoo Borns reports.

“The calf was up and about quickly after he was born, he is already more adventurous than his older brother was at his age!” he added.

For the time being, the baby tapir doesn't have a name. His caretakers are asking that people who want to help them name him visit the zoo's Facebook page and submit their suggestions.
