The baby ape is a bit shy at the beginning, soon finds it was born to swing from a rope

We're used to seeing orangutans swiftly move about the forest, so it's easy to forget that, just like other animal and even kids, these apes have to practice their skills before they can even think about impressing their audience.

The picture above shows a baby orangutan attempting to use a rope to get from one side of its enclosure to the other for the first time ever.

Sources say that the baby ape was a bit shy at the beginning, but that soon enough it found the courage to make its way across the rope.

“Surprisingly, the baby was very confident in his movements and looked as if he had done it a hundred times before.”

“The keepers told everyone it was his first rope walking attempt and I'm just really glad that I managed to get it all on camera,” photographer Serghei Gladyshev explained.
