The tiny amphibian is caught on camera using a leaf as an umbrella

We're used to seeing apes use things they chance to come across as tools, but few would ever think frogs can sometimes be equally ingenious.

The little fellow pictured above was caught on camera by 27-year-old Penkdix Palme in East Java, Indonesia.

Penkdix later explained that, as far as he could tell, the little frog was using the leaf as an umbrella.

Thus, the tiny creature held on to it for about 30 minutes, until the rain stopped, Daily Mail reports.

What's more, it would ever so slightly move it every once in a while, probably to make sure the leaf was facing the downpour and that its body didn't get hit by any raindrops.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say the frog had just gotten a new haircut and did not want to have it ruined by the rain.
