Few can deny the fact that American Bald Eagles are amazing birds, especially when they decide to show off their skills by fighting over a piece of dead carp.

The picture above was recently snapped near Salt Lake City by wildlife photographer Rob Palmer, who later said that both birds were equally committed to making sure that their opponent would not get the chance to feed on the carp.

Daily Mail informs us that American Bald Eagles are quite keen on fighting with one another, and that they often engage in battles over a particular piece of meat regardless of how much food is available in their proximity.

Wildlife experts believe that Farmington Bay, i.e. the area where this picture was shot, can accommodate up to 460 eagles at a time.
