Last week, a truly superb picture of an alleged new MacBook Pro model surfaced on the web. While the banner looks genuine enough to actually be made by Apple, sources are indicating that the picture is indeed a mockup. This doesn't mean the notes accompanying the beautiful new (but fake) MacBook Pro aren't very close to reality.

Speaking of which, the fake ad says,

Power Inside and out. With the all-new Intel Core 2 Duo quad-core processors, MacBook Pro is meticulously crafted for maximum performance in a slim beautiful design. With speeds up to 2.6Ghz, the new MacBook Pro packs the features of a desktop computer without the inconvenience.

The inconvenience of what? The description goes on, saying,

Just touch and go. MacBook Pro features and advanced trackpad with amazing Multi-Touch technology. Flip through photos, enlarge text, and browse the Internet using only your fingers. With a full-size backlit keyboard that automatically adjusts to changing lighting conditions, getting work done has never been so easy or more enjoyable.

A wireless world. Stay connected, always. MacBook Pro features the latest wireless technology built in so your office can go with you, without the desk. It's incredibly easy to surf the web from a cafe, video chat from a hotel, or send email at the airport - just click and connect.

Surely if that was the case with any of Apple's portable computers, Apple Discussions wouldn't be so filled with complaints of wireless issues. Nevertheless, the description can fool even the trained eye. It's Apple-like all the way.

Knowing that Apple is already planning to revamp its line of MacBook computers, how accurate would you say these hardware (case design, processor, wireless) upgrades are? Also, now that you've seen this beautiful MacBook Pro mockup, could you live with a differently-designed model once it's out?
