14 DAY TRIAL // Mobile phone carrier Sprint should soon add to its offering a new series of appealing mobile phones, one of which would come from Samsung, some of the latest reports on the matter suggest.
The said device, featuring the model number of Samsung SPH-D600, has already received the necessary approvals from the FCC, and made another appearance into the wild recently.
Unlike before, this time we also have a few photos with the mobile phone available, which enable us to make an idea of what would Sprint have in store for its customers for the not too far future.
There are not too many details available on what the mobile phone would include when made available for purchase at Sprint, but some of its hardware specs did make it into the wild.
For example, the Samsung SPH-D600 is expected to arrive on shelves at Sprint with a touchscreen display capable of delivering a 480 x 320 pixels resolution.
Moreover, it is rumored to pack a 1GHz application processor inside, and to be running under Google's Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread operating system.
The handset would also sport a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper on the back, along with a 1.3MP camera on the front, to enable video calling.
All in all, the new device would be a cheap Android headed for Sprint's airwaves, but also capable of providing users with an appealing experience.
According to the guys over at Phandroid, this device resembles a lot with the recently unveiled Galaxy Prevail for Boost Mobile, though it would include some better features.
No specific info on when would the new device make it to Sprint's offering emerged for the time being, but rumor has it that it might be sooner rather than later.
