A photographer happened to be at the scene when a tragic death occurred and a mother was killed in front of her family. Rosangela Biavati, 36-year-old mother of one, was enjoying a seaside resort on the coast of Sao Paolo, Brazil when lightning struck.

A terrifying storm was settling in and the woman was warning her 11-year-old child to get out of the water. As she was heading towards the water an electrical discharge struck her, leading to her instant death, notes Metro.

The photographer captured the whole event, but the exact moment when the bolt hits the woman is obscured by a pick-up truck. Still visible, the electrical discharge is pictured hitting something just behind the vehicle.

The photo went viral and the tragic story was featured in every major media publication. After the horrible incident, the woman's lifeless body was taken away by her shocked husband and people who saw the whole incident.
