One of the appealing applications that the Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has made available for download for the owners of Windows Phone 8-based Lumia devices was PhotoBeamer, now available for older devices as well.

The application can be found in the official Windows Phone Store with support for Windows Phone 7.5 devices as version 1.0.1.12.

The application was designed to provide users with the possibility to view photos stored on their devices on larger screens without the need of wires and the like.

“Today we are excited to announce that we have made our magical picture show app, PhotoBeamer, available for Nokia Lumias running Windows Phone 7.5,” a post on Nokia Conversations reads.

“Two weeks ago, we released PhotoBeamer for Nokia Lumia 820 and Nokia Lumia 920. The app has been very popular and we have received amazing feedback from many of you. We are happy that you find PhotoBeamer as magical and useful as we do!”

When launching the app on Windows Phone 8, the company promised that it would become available for Windows Phone 7.5 Lumia handsets as well before the end of the year, and now the software can be downloaded through Microsoft’s official application portal.

The PhotoBeamer can be downloaded on all older smartphones from the company, including Nokia Lumia 510, Lumia 610, Lumia 710, Lumia 800 and Lumia 900. It can be found on this page in the Windows Phone Store.

“PhotoBeamer allows you to show your pictures as easy and fast as possible to anyone on a larger screen,” the aforementioned blog post reads.

“We are very delighted to see the great interest for this app as we continue to develop great imaging experience to our Lumia Phones.”

PhotoBeamer works on 3G/4G networks and over Wi-Fi. It requires for users to go to www.photobeamer.com to be able to see the photos on their phone. It can be used with desktop screens, projector screens, laptops.
