First of all, a bit of context: the meme started as men’s response to their girls’ crush on the actor, which sometimes reached hysteria in certain online communities.
It highlighted that, while they weren’t as handsome and charming as Idris (and certainly not as famous and rich), they did things for their girls Idris would never do, like pick up tampons from the pharmacy or accompany them on 8-hour shopping sprees to the mall, or help them around the house whenever they needed it.

Clearly, Idris too found out about the meme and, in typical British funny fashion, he responded with, “What can I say man… I’m not sorry I am Idris Elba.” Touché, Mr. Elba, touché!
