Phoronix Media, through Michael Larabel, announced on February 18th the immediate availability of the latest and stable version of their Phoronix Test Suite, the best Linux-based benchmarking and testing platform for software and hardware validation. Dubbed Lenvik, Phoronix Test Suite 2.4.1 can be called a maintenance release, as it includes lots of bug fixes and various improvements over previous releases. Also, updates for the Phoromatic client module were introduced in this new release. Phoronix Test Suite 2.4.1 is available for download (see the links at the end of the article) for the Linux, OpenSolaris, BSD and Mac OS X platforms. It is also available in the repositories of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx) Alpha!

The 2.4.1 release incorporates a variety of bug-fixes and other work that was back-ported to Lenvik over the past two weeks. Besides fixes, some of the other work includes many new updates to the Phoromatic client module and graphing improvements." - Michael Larabel said in the official announcement.
